Dr. John Watterson

Dr. Watterson is a dedicated rheumatologist practicing in Vancouver, BC. Dr. Watterson completed his medical school and Internal Medicine training at the University of British Columbia. In 1999 Dr. Watterson obtained his Royal College Fellowship in Rheumatology and was recruited to the University of British Columbia, Division of Rheumatology.

Dr. Watterson is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine. He is proud to be a member of the Division of Rheumatology Postgraduate Committee involved in the recruitment, selection and postgraduate training of young rheumatologists. He provides consultative service to the Vancouver General Hospital and is actively involved in the medical training of students, core-residents and postgraduate trainees.

Dr. Watterson is a Director at the ARTUS Health Centre. His practice model emphasizes coordinated, multidisciplinary and comprehensive care of people afflicted with rheumatic diseases. Professional interests include inflammatory arthritis, spondyloarthropathy, and osteoporosis.

Dr. Watterson embraces life in British Columbia. He is an avid triathlete, kite sailor and ocean kayaker. In the winter you will find him snowshoeing and skiing the North Shore and Whistler areas along with his wife and two daughters.
